One of the major advantages of using a VariPower variable speed hybrid generator in place of a standard diesel generator is the potential of significant savings in operational costs from reduced fuel demand and longer gaps between servicing.

The VariPower pictured here was deployed to power a BTS located in Alnwick, Northumberland.  The system was coupled with a separated bunded fuel tank and monitored via the Netbiter control and monitoring panel. The owners of the site were looking to reduce operating costs, but also as a remote site they were keen to find a system that required fewer servicing and refuelling visits.

The unit’s core is a true variable speed generator, which runs between 900 and 2000 rpm; and a highly efficient lithium battery bank which will utilise stored power for when silent power is needed or loads are low. Elektrilevi signs Hybrid Off Grid Power Systems supply agreement with Energy Solutions

We are delighted to announce that we have signed an agreement with Elektrilevi, Estonia’s Electricity Network Operator, to supply EasyGrid Hybrid Power Systems to the electricity network operator.  With a potential value in the first year of £1.4 million, the agreement is part of the Estonian operators’ new initiative to offer stand-alone power supplies for new build, remote homes and businesses.
