EasyGrid 5000Li Off Grid Power System - Case Study
A stunning location in Cumbria is the home to one of the first EasyGrid 5000 Lithium hybrid power units. The owners of the new build 2 bedroom lodge were quoted £138,000 to get a mains power connection making it an unrealistic option for their dream home; after much research they contacted the team at Energy to help them configure an off grid power system that would support their new home.
With no heating or cooking needing electricity the team at Energy specified an EasyGrid 5000Li, with a 4kW solar array and 8.5kVA generator to ensure there was adequate power for peak loads and sufficient battery capacity to supply all the house loads during quiet running times.
The owners contracted a local electrician to install the entire system including the solar panels and the project was completed last month. They are delighted with the final system:
