Low energy transformers have 50% more iron to reduce running temperature and lower current consumption of transformer itself. There is however a weight premium. These are ideal for vessels that may be on shorepower for extended periods where additional efficiency offsets addition weight and cost.  
Most of the Energy Solutions range of isolation transformers have dual input voltages (120 and 240 volt). This is of particular use on long distance cruising boats that may want to use 110 volt supplies in Caribbean, USA Etc.
