Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day 2026

Women represent a third of the Energy Solutions workforce, contributing across software engineering, testing, product inspection and assembly, reflecting both the continued growth of our business and the increasing opportunities available within engineering and technology careers.

At Energy Solutions, we're proud to have women contributing across a variety of technical roles that support the development, testing and delivery of our products and solutions.

  • Software Engineering – developing and enhancing the technologies that power our products and solutions.
  • Test Engineering – validating performance, reliability and compliance to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Product Inspection – maintaining quality standards through detailed inspection and verification processes.
  • Assembly and Production – delivering skilled technical and mechanical assembly to transform designs into finished products.

The contribution of these team members extends across the entire product lifecycle, from software development and product testing through to quality assurance, assembly and final inspection. Their skills, expertise and dedication help ensure the products and solutions we deliver continue to meet the high standards our customers expect.

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), celebrated annually on 23 June, recognises the achievements of women working across engineering disciplines and encourages greater participation in engineering careers worldwide.

Despite positive progress, women remain underrepresented across many engineering sectors. Events such as INWED help raise awareness, challenge perceptions and inspire future generations to explore opportunities within science, technology and engineering.

Reflecting on the growth of women across Energy Solutions, Co-Director Sam Holland commented:

"Innovation thrives when different perspectives come together to solve complex challenges. By recognising the achievements of women in engineering today, we can help encourage more people to see engineering as a rewarding and impactful career for the future."

As Energy Solutions continues to grow, we remain committed to creating opportunities for talented individuals to build rewarding careers in engineering and technology. By celebrating the achievements of women within our industry and increasing visibility of the diverse roles available, we hope to help inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.

While International Women in Engineering Day provides an opportunity to celebrate achievements, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of encouraging more women and girls to consider engineering as a rewarding and impactful career path.

We would like to thank all the women across our technical teams for their contribution to Energy Solutions and for helping shape the future of engineering within our industry.
