The basis of the multi is a very powerful sine-wave inverter, sophisticated battery charger and automatic changeover switch in a single compact enclosure.
The MultiPlus goes a step further: the MultiPlus can support or boost the generator or shore current and thus temporarily increase output to meet the required power, for example: a peak current of electrical motors (air-conditioning) or an electric cooker (referred to a 'L2S': Level 2 generator and shore Support, or assistance). 		Now it is possible to do far more with a smaller generator or limited shore power! Three MultiPlus units can be configured as one to provide three-phase power.
The MultiPlus with L2S: more advantages with generator- or shore support. A generator is heavy and bulky, shore power is often limited.

The MultiPlus works in parallel with the generator or shore supply and boosts the available power.		 A temporary shortage of power? The MultiPlus takes energy from the battery and provides a boost. MultiPlus Compact 2000VA

   

The new MultiPlus Compact 2000VA is the latest addition to Victron Energy’s highly successful range of multi-functional inverter/charger combinations and has perfect functionality for applications where space is at a premium.

Incorporating Victron’s PowerAssist© technology the 2000VA is able to supplement power available from shore power or generator to ‘assist’ during periods of high demand, providing greater efficiency in the use of the generator and enabling use of a smaller generator than would otherwise be needed. Switching from inverter to generator or shore power and back is automatic, and so fast that electrical devices continue to operate as normal, even during periods of peak demand.

One of the great feature of the MultiPlus 2000 is that it’s compact size makes it perfect for applications were space is at a premium. Similar products offered on the market are often heavy, bulky and difficult to install, the design of the MultiPlus deals very well with these issues. In addition the Power Assist feature is particularly useful for starting inductive loads such as air-conditioning where a 16A shore supply may not be sufficient on its own.
