Off Grid Systems - Domestic and Business
Our ready to install systems can be used with generators (new or existing), solar, wind or other alternative energy sources. All elements of the systems have been sourced from leading, high quality suppliers or manufactured by ourselves to offer outstanding performance, long life and exceptional features.
As they are preconfigured the systems are easy to install by your own local electrican, using our full documentation and installation manual. Most systems can be installed and commissioned within a day. All elements of the systems come with a 2 year warranty on parts. The table below gives an indication of starting prices for different size systems, please note the prices exclude battery costs.

There are 3 variations of each sized system:
Standard:
Controlled by the battery depth of discharge and or a programmable relay contact.
PLC control:
Provides you with added functionality, automated runtimes, quiet times with over discharge protection. See PLC control features in side panel.
Solar load control:
Maximises the return on your solar array, using excess energy for heating etc.
What our systems consist of:
- Victron Energy Inverter/Charger - Pure sine wave, Power Assist
- Rolls Batteries - superb quality and self contained
- ES Monitoring Panel - allowing control of the generator and monitoring of the batteries and system
- ES Service Bypass Switch
- ES PLC Control - with unique range of features - see side bar

Batteries
The battery pack is determined by the required battery voltage and length of required autonomy, on average battery costs will start from £3000.
An average grid connected household will use approx 4,000 KWH per year, 11KWh per day. From our experience an off grid house will use considerably less power. We would expect to get approximately two days autonomy out of a 1104Ah battery bank.
Solar Panels
Solar Panels are a popular addition to our basic systems. Using a grid connect inverter the panels supply power to your house/business with any additional power being used to charge up your battery bank. They reduce your generator fuel costs considerably, providing silent, free power and cash back via the Government's Generation Tariff.
We connect clients to the Government's Generation Tariff, which pays owners a index-linked fee for using alternative rather than fossil fuel. We configure systems so that you use your free energy first for any current power requirement, then what is left is used to charge your batteries and any extra is used to store hot water or similar. This ensures you get the maximum return from the Generation Tariff.
Based on our standard system sizes you could see returns at these levels*:
3kw system with solar - £742 cash back per annum for 25 years
5kw system with solar - £1,237 cash back per annum for 25 years
8kw system with solar - £1,980 cash back per annum for 25 years
10kw system with solar - £2,475 cash back per annum for 25 years
With a potential return on investment of over £81,000 for a 10kw system, solar panels are a cost effective addition to your system.
