MultiPower - all in one hybrid power system

The new MultiPower is a sophisticated all-in-one hybrid power system combining a Victron Quattro sine wave inverter/charger with a generator, battery bank and a built in fuel tank. These components are integrated into a secure enclosure designed for use as a back-up supply or off-grid / remote power source.

"Multipower is a complete power system that is easy to install and operate." Explains Energy Solutions' MD Paul Holland. "Once the MultiPower is hooked up the unit is always on standby. As soon as power is required the system automatically switches to battery power to provide electricity for pre-programmed loads. The user doesn't even need to flick a switch".

During extended use the system will automatically start the generator. What makes the system unique is that the VE Quattro inverter/charger features PowerAssist, a unique capability of supplementing power to the generator. Insufficient generator power is immediately compensated for by the Quattro with extra power from the battery bank - making the total output power of the system up to 3 times the nominal generator power for temporary heavy loads.

With the ability to supplement power requirements as and when required the system dramatically reduces fuel consumption, to a factor of 3 or more, meaning lower cost and less time spent refilling. The by-product of this is that the system creates less pollution than similar units.

Available in a variety of sizes and capacities the MultiPower can be ordered as a standard unit or bespoke configurations can be designed by Energy Solutions for specific applications.

Tier 3 Marine Generators

A significant leap forward in emissions compliance

Energy Solutions are the sole UK agent for Northern Lights generators and Lugger propulsion engines, and are proud to announce the introduction of 4.5-30kW marine generator sets that comply with EPA Marine Tier III emissions regulations.

Beginning in 2009, the United States EPA will begin enforcing Tier III emissions regulations for marine engines less than 37kW. However, Northern Lights began delivering Tier III marine-compliant engines at the beginning of 2008, marking a significant leap forward in emissions compliance.

In an industry that is significantly driven by emissions regulations, Energy Soultions are delighted to be working with a company that is taking environmental issues to it's core. Cyrix-i Intelligent Battery Monitoring to prevent unwanted switching

The Cyrix battery combiner is a microprocessor controlled heavy duty relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is being charged), and disconnects when the voltage decreases below float level (indicating that one or more batteries are being discharged).

Cyrix battery separators are an excellent replacement for diode isolators. The main feature is that there is virtually no voltage loss so that the output voltage of alternators or battery chargers does not need to be increased.

The latest version of the Cyrix, the Cyrix-i from Victron Energy does more than simply connect and disconnect based on battery voltage and with a fixed time delay. The Cyrix-i looks at the general trend (voltage increasing or decreasing) and reverses a previous action only if the trend has reversed during a certain period of time. The time delay depends on the voltage deviation from the trend.

The precision battery monitor is a device that monitors your battery status. It constantly measures the battery voltage and battery current. It uses this information to calculate the actual state of charge of your battery.

The BMV is also equipped with a potential free contact. This can be used to automatically start and stop a generator, or signal alarm conditions.
